Veer Bal Diwas

Veer Bal Diwas (“Day of the Brave Children”) was declared by the Government of India in 2022 and is observed on 26 December. It honours the unmatched courage and sacrifice of the younger Sahibzade — Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji, sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji — who were martyred at Sirhind in December 1705, along with the passing of their grandmother Mata Gujri Ji.

Historical dates and observances may vary between sources and calendar traditions. This section is presented for education and remembrance.
